I’M really looking forward to seeing England and Scotland go head-to-head again tonight.

Back in the 70s and 80s these were always great fixtures, at the end of the season in the old Home International tournament.

The matches often threw up unexpected results and one thing was always guaranteed – the match would be very competitive.

This time it’s not going to be as easy for England as it might once have been. Scotland have really come on lately and have enjoyed some great results. They’ll be fairly confident of turning England over.

It’s terrific that all the home nations appear to be going well; we could see three or four of our repesentatives in the European finals in 2016.

Wales and Northern Ireland have both seen an upturn in fortunes, and if this carries on all British football will get a huge boost.

I had a busy day at City yesterday, the first day at the newly-built complex across the way from the Etihad Stadium.

It really is a massive site, but on the first day it was mainly people just trying to navigate their way around the place.

There’s still a lot of construction work going on around us, but it’s looking like a real state-of-the-art building and it will surely benefit everyone connected with Manchester City in the years to come.
