OLDHAM’S Kevin Sinfield was awarded an MBE at a Buckingham Palace investiture ceremony yesterday.

Loose forward Sinfield (34) – who has won 26 England caps and 14 Great Britain caps, and appeared in the last three World Cups – is the most successful captain in Leeds Rhinos’ history.

He has led them to six Grand Final victories in the last decade, three World Club Challenge triumphs and victory in the Challenge Cup this summer.

He was also the England captain during their World Cup campaign.
