Hart-stopper can still improve

MANCHESTER City manager Manuel Pellegrini says Joe Hart must keep improving if he is to become the best goalkeeper in the world.

Hart produced one of the saves of the season in City’s 4–2 Barclays Premier League win at Swansea, his flying stop preventing Federico Fernandez’s 82nd–minute header from making it 3–3.

The England goalkeeper made another point–blank save from Bafetimbi Gomis two minutes later, before Swansea old boy Wilfried Bony settled matters in injury time.

“It was a beautiful save at a very important moment,” Pellegrini said as his side tightened its grip on second place in the division.

“Joe is the number one goalkeeper in England and I think he has improved a lot this season. He is only 28 years old and he must improve in a lot of things, but he is working hard to do it.”

On top of Yaya Toure’s double strike, James Milner also scored City’s second goal and gave another performance full of endeavour and commitment, even though he is out of contract at the end of the season and may move on.

Pellegrini stressed he wants Milner to stay at the Etihad Stadium but he admitted the final decision rests with the player.
