ROCHDALE fluffed their television lines as they slumped to 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Wigan in Sky Bet League One.
Saturday's lunchtime Spotland showdown was broadcast live on Sky Sports and it was Wigan who prevailed to stretch their unbeaten league record to 10 matches.
Jason Pearce opened the scoring after 16 minutes before Michael Jacobs doubled Wigan’s lead on the hour mark.
Dale manager Keith Hill: "We had some nice possession but not an awful lot of penetration whereas their first goal was very sloppy.
"I'm not overly disappointed with the performance, but the key decisions from players have to improve and they can only improve by playing more football."
