Aces settle for a point

SPEEDWAY: BELLE Vue scraped an Elite League consolation point for their efforts at Wolverhampton's Monmore Green circuit last night.
A last-heat decider dictated whether the Rentruck Aces would leave the Midlands with something, and it was Matej Zagar and Scott Nicholls who fought to claim a share of the spoils.
Yet despite the final scores resting at 46-43 in favour of the Parrys International Wolves, skipper Nicholls says that in the face of such stiff opposition his side can be proud of themselves.
He said: "Wolverhampton are a strong side and are doing very well this year, so to come to their home where they have such an advantage and come away with a point is quite the achievement.
"We can be pretty pleased with ourselves, after all it's our first visit here this season. The track rode very well considering the amount of rain that they had down here earlier in the day."
