Young and old pledged their support for the massive Macmillan fundraiser which raises millions every year to help suffers throughout the UK.

They also took on refreshments at Safehouses Fostering, in Denshaw, along with staff, foster carers and members of the community.

Raffles and guess the weight of the cake was all part of the fun at a coffee morning held at Diggle Band Club while there were delicious gingerbread delights among the goodies at Bright Futures School, in Grasscroft, which was also raising funds for its autistic youngsters.

The cakes were piled high in Alexandra Park glasshouses as staff hosted a tea party in the conservatory and there were plenty of treats on offer at One World Cafe Community Hub, in Oldham Unitarian Chapel.

Pennine Mencap took the opportunity to brew up funds for Willow Wood Hospice, in Ashton, as well as Macmillan at their pop up cafe in Rhodes Bank Chambers.

Youngsters at Hodge Clough Primary School, in Moorside, and St Joseph's RC Primary school, in Shaw, took the opportunity to enjoy to some early morning goodies and staff at Nationwide Building Society served up a slice of cake and cuppas to customers at their Oldham branch.
