PUPILS at Rushcroft Primary School in Shaw dressed up as doctors and nurses to help seriously ill and premature babies.

They raised £310 for the neo-natal intensive care unit at the Royal Oldham Hospital after Daniel McDaid, the brother of pupils Jessica (8) and James (10), was treated there.

Daniel weighed just 2lb 7oz when he was born 13 weeks early, but is now a healthy one year old.

Rushcroft held fundraising non-uniform day - with the option for pupils to dress up.
