SHAW and Crompton District Executive Meeting and Community Forum will now be held at 6pm on Tuesday, January 28, at the Lifelong Learning Centre, High Street, Shaw.

BUDDING actors and actresses can join the new youth theatre at Playhouse 2, Newton Street, Shaw. Sign up is being held at the theatre between 10am and noon on Saturday, January 18 and 25.

CROMPTON House Year 12 students are having their AS level mock exams and Year 13 are on a study day on Friday in preparation for their A-level mock examinations next week.


POLICE are warning residents to be on their guard when de-icing their cars before their daily trips to work. Numerous vehicles have been snatched across the borough by opportunist thieves and officers are urging residents to stay in close attendance to their cars until they are clear.
