Play takes off

“FLAREPATH” will ignite the imagination of audiences at Playhouse 2, Shaw, from February 15-22.

Set in a 1941 hotel lobby where RAF pilots hang out before and after raids, it is a tale of human spirit. Tickets (£8) are available from the theatre. Visit www.playhouse2.org for more information.


AN American tea afternoon can be enjoyed at St James School hall, St James Street, Shaw, on Saturday, March 8, from 3pm. The event will be opened by Shaw and Crompton Parish Council chairman Dave Murphy and costs £3.50. Money raised will help support the Royal National Lifeboat Institute.

NEON, an evening of 1980s electronica and modern rock music, will take place at The Queen Anne, Church Road, Shaw on Friday, from 9pm.


THE Family and Childcare Trust is appealing for volunteers to give up five hours of their time each week to talk to families about childcare options and activities.
