Rogue roofers on the knocker

POLICE are warning residents to be vigilant as rogue traders are working in the area to take advantage of the recent bad weather.


Callers have been telling residents work needs doing to the slates on their roofs and then overcharging. Police reiterated that genuine traders will have high workloads and will not be required to cold-call. Call police on 101 with any information.


THE 3 Cs are holding a parchment craft course with expert tuition on Saturday. Two sessions will be held, from 10am to noon and 1 to 3pm with participants required to pay for the materials used. Contact shawcreativecollective@gmail.com for more information.
