Big switch-on

SHAW and Crompton’s Christmas lights switch-on takes place on Friday, November 28, with “Frozen” stars Anna and Elsa from 6.30pm in the town centre.

There will be mulled wine and an appearance from Latics mascot Chaddy the Owl.


CROMPTON Stage Society is performing “The Ladykillers”, by Graham Linehan — writer of “Father Ted” — from Saturday, November 29, to Saturday, December 6, at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from Interiors, Shaw. Call 01706-840 400 for more information.


POLICE surgeries are held at Crompton Library every Thursday between 10am and noon.


CROMPTON House School held a number of Children In Need events organised by the sixth form and raised over £400.
