Burglars on prowl

POLICE are hunting burglars who broke into a house in Arley Drive on Saturday between 10am and 6pm.

Thieves smashed the kitchen window to gain access and made off with jewellery.


CASH and a watch were stolen from a property on Beck Grove between 9am and 8.15pm on Thursday, February 5. Burglars gained entry by smashing the glass door on the conservatory.


CASH and waterproofs were stolen from a vehicle on Rochdale Road between 4pm on Saturday and 8am on Sunday.


NUMBER plates were stolen from a vehicle on Blakelock Street between 8pm on Friday and 4.10pm on Saturday.

HIGH Crompton Post Office will close on Friday for renovations and will reopen on Friday, February 20.
