Summer fair

A VINTAGE summer fair will be held on Sunday at 1st Shaw Scouts Hunger Hill, just off Kershaw Street, between noon and 3pm.

There will be craft stalls, a treasure hunt and a vintage photo booth. Admission is £1 for adults and 50p for children.


A CHARITY rounders rally takes place from 10am on Saturday at High Crompton Park in aid of two local children, Olllie and Amelia, who have battens disease.


RESIDENTS are being asked for their opinion on proposals to extend yellow lines on Buckstones Road to help motorists turning on to the road from George Street. Email howard.sykes@oldham.gov.uk to give your views.


PLANS for improvements to Crompton war memorial are on display in Shaw Library, Kershaw Street, for residents to give their views.


SHAW Parish Church hosts a toddler group in the church hall, Church Street, each Monday and Wednesday (9.30-11.30am) for under-fives. There is no need to book — just turn up on the day.
