AN attempted burglary took place at a house in Bartlett Road last Thursday. The offender threw a concrete slab through a window, waking the homeowner.


A PURSUIT involving a vehicle wanted in connection with a number of crimes in Shaw ended when it collided with a lamppost. One man later handed himself in to police and the other is still wanted.

A CHARITY disco will be held at Tara Leisure on Friday, October 30, from 7.30pm in aid of Guide Dogs for the Blind. Admission is £5 for adults and £3 for children.
