Holocaust day

HOLOCAUST memorial day will be marked with a service at Royton Park memorial on Monday, January 27, at 10.30am.



The service will remember the millions of people killed in the Holocaust during during the Second World War.



FORMER employees of Crane Fruehauf Trailers, Royton, are invited to a reunion on Friday, January 31. The event will take place from 7.30pm at the Blue Tiffin Restaurant, Higginshaw Lane.



THE Royton District Executive meeting and Community Forum takes place tonight, at Royton Youth Centre on Chapel Street, at 6pm. It is a chance to discuss local issues and concerns with ward councillors and representatives.



BABY Ballet sessions are taking place at Sparkles Play Centre, Royton, every Tuesday morning for ages 0-4. The classes, which include singing and dancing, are designed to improve coordination, balance and confidence. Contact Sally on 0161-643 2661 or 07731-455533 for more information.



STORIES and rhymes are on offer at Royton Library every Thursday from 10am until 11am. The sessions are designed to promote a love of books and develop language in children under five.



DEMOLITION work on the former Royton Assembly hall is currently under way in the town centre to make way for a new regeneration project.



LEARN to play netball every Wednesday at Oldham Academy North, from 6.30 to 8pm. Beginners and experienced players aged from seven to 14 are all invited to take part. Subs cost £3 and for more information contact Debbie on 07740-456215 .



TEENS looking to get fit for 2014 can visit the teen Gym at Royton Glogym, Park Street, every Tuesday and Thursday from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.
