Bric-a-brac bargains

A BRIC-A-BRAC stall will be held at Trinity Methodist Church, Radcliffe Street, on Thursday, March 20, from 9am to noon.

A selection of goods will be available for purchase with all the proceeds going towards church funds. A Fairtrade stall held at the church on Thursday, February 27, raised £95 for Traidcraft, which will use the money to support thousands of farmers in developing countries to trade their way out of poverty.


ROYTON District Executive will meet at Royton Youth Centre at 6pm today. The meeting is a chance for the public to address councillors about local issues. It will be followed by the Community Forum meeting.


AN Easter bring-and-buy sale will take place at Dr Kershaw’s Hospice on Saturday, March 29. Visitors are asked to bring gifts for use at future tombolas and raffles for the hospice as well as buy from a selection of stalls between 10am and 1pm.


APPROVAL has been granted to turn the former Marston’s Tavern on Rochdale Road into three new retail units and two flats. Dynamic Controls, Union Street, has received planning approval for a single-storey extension to an industrial unit.


WOMEN’S piloxing fitness classes, combining pilates, boxing and dance, are returning to Oldham Academy North, Broadway, on Mondays from 7 until 8pm. Each class costs £4.50. Call 07402-164 359 for more information.


LEARN all the latest street dance moves and showcase your skills at Royton and Crompton School. Seven to 13-year-olds of all abilities can take part on Fridays, 5.30 until 6.30pm. Entrance costs £2.
