Hospice pergola

DR Kershaw’s Hospice has been given planning permission to build a free-standing timber pergola in the garden.



An application to alter the car park to create an additional 13 parking spaces and one disabled space was also approved.



ROYTON Townswomen’s Guild will hear at talk about Oldham’s Christie from lead radiographer Julie Davies on Tuesday, April 8. Taking place at 7.30pm at Royton Town Hall, entrance costs £1 for members, £2 for visitors, with refreshments.



PLANNING permission has been granted for the change of use from a playroom/workshop to a one-bed annex over an existing garage at 26 Mendip Close, Royton.



AN Easter fun day will take place at Royton Youth Centre on Saturday, April 12, from 1-3pm. Face-painting, a tombola, name the bunny competition and refreshments will be available on the day.

1,000 years of Knutsford history and its links to King Canute is the topic for a talk with Royton Local History Society on Monday, April 14, at 7.30pm. The talk, at Downey House, is free for members and £1.50 for visitors including refreshments.



THE Women’s World Day of prayer event at SS Aidan and Oswald’s Church, Royton, earleir this month raised £262 for future World Women’s Day of Prayer events.



ROYTON’S Post Office will close on Tuesday, April 15 for refurbishment. It will reopen at 1pm on Tuesday, May 6.
