RUDE discovery. . . Chris Buckley with his damaged BMW
Vandals have caused thousands of pounds worth of damage by carving obscene language into the bodywork of a couple’s cars.
Chris Buckley (34) and wife Helen (32) have lived at their Marlborough Road property in Royton for six and a half years without problems - until now.
Mr Buckley was shocked when he saw the extent of the damage after going out to walk the dog around 6am.
He said: “I went out with the dog and my BMW and my wife’s Mazda had been scratched all the way round — really deep.
“I don’t think it was someone just passing by quickly. They must have spent some time there doing it. “It’s on every panel. It will cost thousands to repair the damage. I don’t know why anyone would want to do this.”
Both vehicles were parked on the road, and Mr Buckley revealed other minor incidents had taken place in the local area.
He said: “This is the first major incident we have suffered but we do have problems with kids in the area.”
Police confirmed the incident is being treated as criminal damage.
