In at the deep end
Date published: 08 August 2014
FUNDRAISER Nicola Hall jumped in at the deep end when she agreed to raise money for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice with a sponsored swim.
The mother-of-two raised £451 after taking the plunge into Salford Quays and swimming a mile during the Great Manchester Swim.
Nicola (41), a special needs teaching assistant at Roundthorn Academy, was joined in the endeavour by her husband Andy, who also raised £480 for the mental health charity MIND.
The money was raised in memory of Andy’s parents, Jack and Jean Hall who both died in Dr Kershaw’s following battles with cancer.
