Cricket fund-raiser

ROYTON Cricket Ladies Charity Fundraisers will hold a family fun day and cricket tournament on Saturday.

The event, taking place from 11am until late, will include a barbecue, raffle and music and is in aid of Dr Kershaw’s Hospice and other charity appeals.

OLDHAM Community Adult Pop Choir is hosting a taster session tonight for anyone looking to join. The choir meets from 7-9pm every Monday during term-time at St Mark’s Church Hall, Heyside. For more information contact Oldham Music Service on 0161-770 5660 or email martin.ashurst@oldham.gov.uk.


A HOMEWATCH meeting will take place at Oddfellows Social Club, Union Street, Royton, on Thursday from 7 to 8pm.


HELP save a life and give blood at Royton Trinity Methodist Church, Radcliffe Street, Royton, from 1.15 to 3.30pm or 5.15 to 7.30pm on Friday.


LADIES can be pampered and made to feel special at Dr Kershaw’s Ladies Day on Friday. The day, is free to all women who have been affected by cancer, either through diagnosis or knowing someone with cancer. There will be hair styling, make-up makeovers and a nail bar open from 11am to 3pm.


FOUR houses can be built on land adjoining 14 Hebron Street, Royton, after planning approval was granted. Planning permission has also been granted for the building of a house at land adjoining 34 Kirkstone Drive, Royton.


GET your health checked out as the First Stop Health Bus rolls into Royton on Friday, September 26. The bus will be parked at Royton Precinct car park during the day with health teams from Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust offering a range of advice and guidance, as well as free mini health MOTs, to anyone who visits the bus.
