GET your health checked out when the First Stop Health Bus rolls into Royton on Friday.


The bus will be parked at Royton Precinct car park throughout the day with health teams from Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust offering a range of advice and guidance, as well as free mini health MOTs, to anyone who visits the bus.


TAKE part in the world’s biggest coffee morning on Friday, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Care. Cakes and coffee will be on sale at 35 Pennine View, Royton, from 10am to 3.30pm with all the money raised going to charity.



A NEW cheerleading class will begin on Monday, September 29, at Oldham Academy North. Designed for over-sevens, the classes run from 6 to 7pm and cost £4.50. For more information contact Air Athletics on 07517-865 065.



FAMILIES can take part in the Xplorer navigation challenge at Tandle Hill Visitor Centre on Saturday, October 4. The free event, running from 10am to noon, gives children a chance to navigate the park and learn fun facts.



PLANS to build a single-storey rear extension at 3 Cherry Grove, Royton, have been approved.



TAKE part in local democracy at the Royton District Executive meeting and community forum on Monday, October 6. The meeting, taking place from 6pm at Royton Youth Centre, Chapel Street, is a chance for members of the public to quiz local councillors, raise issues and find out about local events.



PIZZA Hut, Elk Mill Centre Retail Park, Royton, has applied for planning permission for a new signage scheme, including replacement roof, welcome and directional signs as well as external replacement cladding and a proposed new lighting scheme.
