A HOLOCAUST Memorial Service, organised by Royton Community Forum, will take place at Royton Park Memorial tomorrow from 10.30am.


EDGE Hill nursing home, on Oldham Road, Royton, has been given planning permission to build a single-storey rear extension and two-storey side extension. The development will add five bedrooms and one new lounge to the home. Planning permission has been granted for a rear dormer and modifications to a front dormer roof at 1 Consort Avenue, Royton.


OLDHAM Academy North, Royton, will host Oldham’s Holocaust commemorative event tomorrow from 6 to 8pm. It will feature performances from members of Oldham Youth Council and a reading from Sammy Neumann, “A Survivor’s Story”, detailing his mother’s journey from Hungary to Manchester via Auschwitz.

A CRAFT fair selling a range of handmade gifts, homeware and toiletries will take place at the Duke of York, Heyside, from 11am on Saturday, February 7. Stall proceeds will go to Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.
