Craft gifts

A CRAFT fair selling a range of handmade gifts, items for the home and toiletries will take place at the Duke of York, Heyside, from 11am on Saturday. Stall proceeds will go to Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.


THERE will be no meeting of the Royton Local History Society in February. The next meeting will take place from 7.30pm on Monday, March 9 at Downey House, Royton.


ROYTON Townswomen’s Guild will host its nominations night on Tuesday, February 10. Taking place from 7.30pm at Royton Town Hall, the event is a chance for members to become part of the committee and give anyone interested in joining a chance to find out more about the Guild and its events. Entrance is £1 for members, £2 for visitors.


A WHITE Mini was stolen from Rochdale Road, Royton, during the early hours of Tuesday, January 27. The owner left the vehicle unlocked with the keys on the dashboard while visiting a cash machine when a male jumped in and made off towards Oldham.


A PLANNING application for an external fire escape staircase at Taz Assist Accountants, Middleton Road, Royton, has been submitted.


A LOCKED and secured Mercedes Sprinter van was stolen in Buttermere Grove, Royton, on Sunday, January 25, between 2 and 4.45pm.

KERSHAW’S Crooners are looking to add more singers to the group. Meetings take place every Tuesday from 4.30 to 5.30pm at the hospice.
