TRINITY Methodist Church, Radcliffe Street, Royton, is celebrating Fairtrade fortnight by selling Fairtrade goods and groceries during a coffee morning on Thursday, February 26, from 9am to noon.



STUNNING landscape paintings by a local artist are currently on display at Royton Library. Robert Lees, a retired mechanical design engineer, is exhibiting some of his favourite paintings at the Rochdale Road library until the end of the month.



WOMEN’S World Day of Prayer will be celebrated with a special event at Trinity Methodist Church, Royton, on Friday, March 6. The subject of the event, which starts at 2pm, will be “Jesus said to them ‘Do you know what I have done to you’” with The Bahamas as the feature country. All are welcome and entrance is free.



THE Rotary Club of Crompton and Royton will be hosting an evening of songs and entertainment from well known musicals at St Anne’s Church, Royton, on Friday, March 6, from 7.30pm. Tickets, priced £16 each, include canapés and a glass of wine, with money raised going to Dr Kershaw’s Hospice. PLANS have been submitted to part-convert the former Marston’s Tavern, Rochdale Road, into a ground-floor restaurant. Proposals also include plans for a first-floor flat, terrace, smoking shelter and alterations to windows and room openings.



FIRST Choice Homes Oldham will hold an advice surgery at Royton Library, Rochdale Road, from 10.30am until noon on Wednesday.
