A FAIRTRADE stall at Trinity Methodist Church, Royton, raised £218.05 for Traidcraft, an organisation which works to provide fair pay and conditions for third world workers.
PLANNING permission has been approved for a first-floor side and rear extension at 2 Low Meadows, Royton. Permission has also been approved for an external fire escape staircase at Tax Assist Accountants, 2 Oldham Road, Royton. A single-storey rear extension can be built at 67 Broadway, Royton, after planning permission was approved.
ROYTON District Executive meeting and community forum will take place on Monday, March 23, from 6pm at Royton Youth Centre, Chapel Street.
FIR Lane Methodist Church, Royton, is celebrating its 150th anniversary with a service this week. Members of the public are invited to visit the church and take a tour on Sunday, March 22, at 10.30am.
THE Angel Inn, on Shaw Road, Royton, is holding a race night to raise funds for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice on Saturday. Landlord Alan Briggs will also have his body waxed for charity during the evening, which runs from 8 to 11pm.
GIVE blood at Trinity Methodist Church, Royton, on Friday from 1.10 to 3.55pm and from 5.15 to 7.30pm. Appointments should be made at www.blood.co.uk.
POLICE will hold a surgery at Trinity Methodist Church, Radcliffe Street, on Thursday, from 10am to noon.
Oldham Choir will be performing at Trinity Methodist Church, Radcliffe Street, from 7.30pm on Saturday. Tickets, costing £5 including refreshments, are available at the Thursday church coffee morning, from 9am until noon, or on the door.
