BRAVE little Tehyah Solan-Clarke is still fighting for her life at home, where she receives full-time care from her family after a series of strokes left the four-year-old 90 per cent brain damaged.

In April last year the Chronicle reported that Tehyah was sent home from school one day as she was feeling unwell.

The “happy-go-lucky” Royton youngster then suffered a series of strokes and was put in an induced coma after suffering serious brain damage.

The condition she was struck down by is still unknown to doctors.

After coming out of the coma and undergoing surgery numerous times, the little “Princess” was sent home in June to spend “what little time she has left” in the comfort of her own Royton home with parents Sam Solan and Aaron Clarke.

Tehyah is still fighting strongly, feeding through a tube and receiving oxygen from a machine.

Keeley Berry, a friend of Tehyah’s grandmother Debbie Walker, is now on a mission to raise £5,000 to help support the family to provide a comfortable life for their daughter.

Mrs Berry said: “Physio for little Tehyah is £80 an hour which is not funded by the NHS and could be so effective and helpful for this little princess.

“I’m raising funds to help this amazing family in anyway I can —financially and emotionally. They have no financial support and need every penny we can raise to help Tehyah live the most comfortable life she can.

“I just couldn’t sit back and do nothing, my mission is to raise £5,000 for the family.

“Please help me raise funds for this amazing family, to give Tehyah the best out of life, the physio she needs, the best she can get out of life after this tragedy.”

Mrs Walker has welcomed the support, saying her family cannot thank Keeley enough for her kindness throughout the worst year of their lives.

Mrs Berry is organising a number of fundraising events, including a live music and entertainment show on April 19, from 3 to 7pm.

Taking place at Tara Sports and Leisure Centre, in Grains Road, Shaw, tickets cost £5 by calling Mrs Berry on 0799-9067739. Children get in free.

Mrs Berry has also set up a web page where people wanting to donate money to the family can do so at www.gofundme.com/mm5f7g.
