Fair pay help

A FAIRTRADE stall at Trinity Methodist Church, Royton, raised £218 for Traidcraft, an organisation which works to provide fair pay and conditions for third- world workers.


ROYTON District Executive Meeting and Community Forum will take place tonight, from 6pm, at Royton Youth Centre, Chapel Street.


POLICE officers will hold a surgery at Trinity Methodist Church, Radcliffe Street, on Thursday, from 10am to noon.


COMMUNITY netball sessions take place every Wednesday, from 6.30 to 8pm, at Oldham Academy North, Broadway, Royton. The sessions are open to boys and girls ages five to 16 and cost £3.50. For details contact Debbie on 07740-456215 or email rachel@netballinthecommunity.co.uk.


FIRST Choice Homes Oldham will host an advice surgery at Royton Library, Rochdale Road, from 10.30am to noon on Wednesday.


OLDHAM Baseball and Softball Club meets at Royton and Crompton School every Wednesday, from 6 to 8pm.The team is currently recruiting for the 2015 season. Email oldhambaseball@gmail.com.


PLANS for the building of a new Lidl foodstore onland off Middleton Road, Royton, can be viewed on the Oldham Council website. The plans include the demolition of existing structures on the site and the erection of the store, alongside car parking facilities and other landscaping works.
