ST Paul’s Church of England Primary School in Royton raised £249 as part of the Macmillan coffee morning fundraising appeal.

A BURGLAR stole property after getting in to a house in Verney Road, Royton, through an open window during the early hours of October 3. A separate incident took place in the early hours of October 5 in Cornish Way, Royton, with the burglar forcing a front window and stealing a handbag.

AN illustrated talk by Donald Reid at Royton Local History Society will tell the story of one of the biggest underground fires in transport history. The talk takes place tonight, at 7.30pm, at Downey House, Church Street, Royton. Entrance is free for members or £1.50 for visitors.
