Having worked for decades in our NHS, including for Oldham Primary Care NHS Trust and Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, delivering support in our schools, teaching local kids the importance of healthy eating, I know the communities of Oldham, Chadderton and Royton well. I have a strong track record of delivering for local families in Oldham and across Greater Manchester.

I know only too well the struggle families here face and will be a great voice for them in Westminster, not just another party politician doing whatever their bosses tell them to.

I am a passionate campaigner and charity fundraiser for mental health issues. I’ve run the Great Manchester Run twice and Oldham Park run for mental health charities because it’s such an important issue to me and my family.

I am a passionate campaigner for green issues, and would make a great successor for Michael Meacher, who was also well known for his campaigning on green issues.

With my Liberal Democrat colleagues, I am the only one standing up for local families in Oldham by fighting to stop the Conservative government cutting family incomes here in Oldham.

Only the Liberal Democrats and I have been fighting to end these cuts — that’s why people in Oldham West and Royton need me in parliament fighting for them. Labour sat on their hands when they could have stopped them and UKIP enthusiastically voted them through.
