STAFF from Dr Kershaw’s receive their new van from OMC
Dr Kershaw’s Hospice has been given an early Christmas present - a new van to help with services and fundraising events.
Family business OMC Ford has donated the van to the Royton hospice to continue its longstanding support for the institution. The new van replaces one donated by the company five years ago.
Robin Eglin, chairman of OMC Motor Group said “We are proud to work with and support Dr Kershaw’s Hospice. They are an incredible organisation and provide amazing support to families across the Oldham area.”
The donation saved the hospice £13,000 - which will rise to around £20,000 including the cost of a five-year service agreement.
Angela Higham, fundraising team leader at Dr Kershaw’s Hospice said: “I was thrilled and delighted when OMC told us they will be providing another van. Donations like this from businesses are very rare.”
