A CRAZED cat left a woman permanently scarred when it leapt on her head in a terrifying attack.
Adele Mills (39) had to have a gaping wound on her forehead glued shut at A&E after the mad moggie went for her as she tried to drive it out of her garden in Royton.
Adele said: “I\ve never seen anything like it. The cat has been in my garden a few times and had attacked one of my two cats more than once.
“I had been told to throw water at it, because I didn’t want to harm it. I just wanted it away from my garden because it is so nasty. “As I leaned over to throw the jug of water it pounced on top of my head. The pain was awful. I had to pull really hard to get it off me as its claws were sunk in my head.
“It dragged its claws through my skin. My son could hear me screaming and there was blood dripping down my face. I had to go to A&E.”
The late-night attack left Ms Mills with deep gashes to her scalp and one a cut on her forehead.
The injuries caused an infection that closed her left eye.
Ms Mills says the cat belongs to a neighbour and is believed to have attacked other cats and even a dog.
She added: “I found out whose cat it is and went to the house, but they’re not interested.
“Everyone is in shock that this cat has done this to me. If it was a dog who’d attacked a child it would have been dealt with immediately. It’s obviously not safe to roam around.
“Something needs to be done to prevent this from happening again. If it was a dog, it would be put down.”
