HIGH Crompton Park will have some stunning new posters on display thanks to pupils from Royton & Crompton and Crompton House schools who highlighted the risks to dog owners who let pets foul the area.
Crompton councillor Diane Williamson and Mark Greenhalgh, an enforcement officer at Oldham Council, attended assemblies at the two schools.
Dangers
He spoke to the pupils about what the dangers were of letting their dogs foul as well as the financial implications of fines.
Councillor Williamson said: "As one of the judges it was difficult to pick eight designs, as they were all so good. But we got there and found a winner in Gracie from Royton & Crompton School."
It is hoped the posters will make those irresponsible dog owners who do not pick up after their pets think more about what they are doing to the park.
