A 30-YEAR-OLD man died after a collision which saw his car roll several times before colliding with traffic lights.

At around 8.30pm yesterday, a Toyota Yaris was travelling north on Broadway, Chadderton when it was involved in a collision with a Ford Fiesta. The Yaris rolled a number of times before colliding with traffic lights in the middle of the road and coming to a stop.

The 30-year-old was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead sometime later. The 37-year-old driver of the Fiesta was also taken to hospital for minor injuries and was later discharged.

Police Sgt Lee Westhead, of GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: "This was a terrible incident which has now left a family without their loved one and I would like to extend my sincere condolences to them for their loss.

"We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to please come forward, particularly anyone who may have dashcam footage that captured the collision.

"This happened on a busy main road at a time when there likely would have been quite a few cars still driving around so we are hopeful that there will be a number of key witnesses who can assist with our investigation."
