TWO Oldham secondary schools are among the country’s top performers.

Blue Coat School came 15th in the national A-level league table which is calculated using the average point score per pupil. As reported in the Chronicle, it scored 1,162 points in last summer’s exams.

North Chadderton School is also among the top 200 schools for continuous improvement in its GCSE results.

Last summer, 73 per cent of pupils achieved five A* to C grades, including English and maths, compared with 51 per cent in 2010. Only schools which improve each year are included.
