GRAHAM Radcliffe, co-ordinator of the Oldham South Street Pastors, will be the guest speaker at this month’s Chadderton Home Watch meeting.

It takes place at Chadderton Wellbeing Centre, Burnley Street, at 7.30pm on Tuesday.


PULL on a onesie and get down to Hunt Lane Tavern, Middleton Road, on Saturday, February 15 for a fund-raising night in aid of Dr Kershaw’s Hospice. Lots of prizes, including one for the best dressed. Attractions include a knockout pool lucky dip and a children’s buffet. Starts 5pm, £5 entry, children £2.50, organised by pub regulars.


A PLANNING application has been submitted to turn a former warehouse at Gorse Mill, Gordon Street, into Brighter Beginnings Day Nursery. It will help to meet the Government initiative to provide free nursery places for two-year-olds in disadvantaged areas.

SOUTH Chadderton Youth Centre, Lancaster Street, holds a free fun day with face painting, games, arts and crafts from 1 to 3pm on Friday, February 21.


RESIDENTS are being urged to make sure their iPads, mobile phones and other valuables are secure while they are out and about after a spate of thefts in the Coalshaw Green area.
