Groups get share of £81,000 windfall

THREE Oldham charity groups have shared an £81,209 payout from HealthSustain CIC and the People’s Health Trust.

Greenacres Community Association, Keeping Our Girls Safe and Men Behaving Dadly will split the money. Greenacres Community Association will receive £27,365 to deliver activities and quarterly community events in Greenacres and Clarksfield.

Chadderton-based Keeping Our Girls Safe was awarded £24,997 for a preventative programme for girls aged 14-16 at risk of sexual exploitation.

Men Behaving Dadly, in Waterhead, scooped £28,847 to deliver a weekly session for fathers, male carers and children to make new friends and learn new skills.

HealthSustain CIC has raised £795,669, through The Health Lottery, for good causes in North Manchester.
