DARREN McGrattan, from Oldham Council’s First Response Team, is guest speaker at the the next Chadderton and District Home Watch meeting.

All are welcome at Chadderton Wellbeing Centre, Burnley Street, on Tuesday, September 9, from 7.30pm.

FIND out more about the war graves in Chadderton Cemetery, Middleton Road, with talks there at 10am and 2pm on Saturday, September 13. The event is part of Oldham’s Heritage Open Days programme which runs from September 6 to 13.


CHADDERTON North councillors are holding a ward surgery from 11am to noon on Saturday at Chadderton Wellbeing Centre, Burnley Street. Chadderton South residents can raise concerns with their councillors at the same time at South Chadderton Methodist Church, Thompson Lane.


A PLANNING application has been submitted for a canopy and secure storage area for play equipment at Burnley Brow Primary School, Victoria Street.

A FOUR-WEEK programme of summer activities at the new Crossley Community Centre finishes on Friday. But there is still time to take part in a mini-health check, table tennis, chair-based exercises, zumba and sewing. PARENTS with young children can meet other families at the Movers and Crawlers session at Chadderton Community Church, Garforth Street. It takes place from 1 to 2pm on Tuesdays, with 50p admission per child.



ST Saviour’s Church, off Denton Lane, holds a coffee morning from 10.15am to 11.30am every Thursday. Donations in aid of church funds.
