THE family of teenager Rashid Hussain has visited his school to read moving tributes in a books of condolence.

Books have been opened at Radclyffe School in Chadderton in memory of 13-year-old Rashid and popular English teacher Charlotte Haggerty, who died within two days of each other. Rashid collapsed and died on February 12, while Charlotte, who had a four year-old son, lost her battle to a rare form of ovarian cancer on Valentine’s day.

Two of Rashid’s brothers, Wajid and Amir, were among family members who read tributes to him.

Many remember his “beautiful smile” and one added: “This beautiful man has been taken away.”

One tribute to Charlotte reads: “You were always so happy and full of life. You were truly a great inspiration and a great role model to look up to.”

Another says: “Your kindness was the sort that was honest and real.”
