TALENTED pupils are appearing in North Chadderton School’s production of “Oliver!” this week. Performances of the Lionel Bart musical take place at the Chadderton Hall Road secondary at 7pm tonight, tomorrow and Friday.
PEOPLE can give blood at St Herbert’s Parish Centre, Broadway, on May 27. Sessions run from 1.15pm to 3.30pm and 5.15pm to 7.30pm. To book visit myblood.co.uk.
RADCLYFFE School pupils found out more about apprenticeships during a fair at the Hunt Lane secondary. They also got tips on everything from writing a CV to interview techniques. The school is also appealing for people to sponsor its summer show, “Aladdin”, which takes place in June.
CHADDERTON Historical Society will be looking back over four decades when it holds its 40th annual general meeting on Thursday next week at Chadderton FC, Andrew Street, 7.30pm. New members are welcome.
HELP keep Chadderton clean by taking part in a community litterpick on Saturday, May 16. Volunteers can meet at South Chadderton Methodist Church, Thompson Lane, at 9.45am.
PUPILS at St Herbert’s Primary School, Edward Street, found out more about the consequences of crime at the Action Has Consequences workshop with police officers.
Inspired by England’s recent test win against the West Indies, pupils at Newman College, Broadway, have been taking part in lunchtime cricket and rounders sessions.
