OLDER Oldhamers were bowled over as a housing company’s first crown green bowls tournament attracted an impressive 15 teams.
Close to 50 residents took part in the competition, arranged for residents on local housing schemes run by Housing & Care 21 at St George’s Square, Chadderton. Residents from 10 schemes took part and the team from Tandle View Court took first prize.
Bridget Guilfoyle, Housing & Care 21 project director in Oldham, said: “The event was fantastic and it was great to see so many residents taking part and getting involved in the competition..”
