Driver dies at the wheel

Police closed the road until around 7pm after the incident.

AN elderly man died yesterday after suffering a heart attack behind the wheel of his car and crashing.

Police were called at 3.40pm to the incident in Chadderton Park Road, Chadderton, where a silver Mercedes had crashed into a parked car. The driver was taken to the Royal Oldham Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
