Opinions wanted on seven-day GP service
Date published: 09 December 2015
OPINIONS are being sought on proposals for a seven-day GP service in Oldham.
Patients will initially be offered appointments at several pilot sites and bosses are looking for thoughts on how and where they might use such services prior to their launch across the borough.
Locations currently being considered for the pilot are Oldham town centre, Royton, Saddleworth, Glodwick, Werneth, Failsworth and Chadderton.
The local clinical commissioning group wants to ensure the service is being planned effectively.
Dr Bal Duper, a local GP and clinical director for primary care for the group, said: “We want to hear opinions relating to seven-day services, including the locations being considered, whether they would be willing to travel to extended hours appointments, what kind of care they would like to be available and who they would prefer to deliver it. We want to make sure money being invested is spent wisely.”
To take part in the online survey, patients can visit www.oldhamccg.nhs.uk. The survey closes on January 4.
