Festive closures

Holly Grove, Stanley Road and Stockbrook children’s centres will all be closed from tomorrow until January 4. Stanley Road will be open on December 29 for midwife and ante-natal appointments only. Chadderton Wellbeing Centre is closed from December 24 to January 2.


MILLS Hill Baptist Church, Mills Hill Road, holds a come and sing carol service at 7.30pm on Wednesday, December 30.


DISABLED parking bays are to be created at 36 Agnes Street, 57 Cypress Avenue, 201 Denton Lane, 21 George Street, 26 and 28 Ilkley Close, 986 Middleton Road and 43 Whitegate Avenue. The disabled bay at 16 Wharf Street is to be removed.


THE brass band from Newman College entertained Christmas shoppers at the Trafford Centre.


YEAR 11 scientists from The Radclyffe School attended the Royal Society of Chemistry’s annual Christmas lecture at Bolton School. The event was backed by Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan and Salford universities.
