Mystery walk

GRUESOME tales of macabre events are promised on a history and mystery walk tomorrow.

The popular tour by Chadderton Historical Society starts at Chadderton Precinct, Middleton Road, at 7.30pm.


NORTH Chadderton residents who are on benefits and struggling financially could benefit from the FairShare scheme to hand out leftover food from Tesco. The food parcels are distributed at Chadderton Community Church, Garforth Street, from 11am to 1pm on Tuesdays.


PEOPLE with dementia and their carers can meet others and have fun at the Healthy Living Group at Mills Hill Baptist Church, Mills Hill Road, from 1 to 3pm on the third Monday of every month.


NEED advice? The CAB holds sessions at Chadderton Wellbeing Centre, Burnley Street, from 9.30am to 12.30pm, 1.30 to 4pm (appointment only) and 5 to 8pm on Thursdays, and 9.30am to noon on Fridays.


YOUR numbers could come up at St Herbert’s Parish Centre, Broadway, which holds bingo at 8pm on Thursdays. There is also a mums and tots group at 1pm on the same day.


TAKE your little ones along in their pyjamas for Wee Willie Winkie bedtime stories with Rogan Mills. The free session for under sevens at Chadderton Library, Burnley Street, is an ideal way to develop a relaxing bedtime routine for your child.


ST Matthew’s Primary School, Chadderton Hall Road, holds the before and after school Chaddy Kids Club for four to 11-year-olds.


THE new Novel Idea lunchtime book clubs at Radclyffe School, Hunt Lane, allows Year 7 and 8 pupils to read classic titles and then talk about their favourite passages and what they meant to them.
