Suranne & Schofield in Oldham double at TV awards

CHADDERTON star Suranne Jones showed off her baby bump for the first time as she made it a triple celebration at last night’s National Television Awards.

The 37-year-old “Doctor Foster” star first revealed she was pregnant — then was presented with the award for Best New Drama. She later won the Best Drama Performance prize too, completing a personal hat-trick.

An emotional Suranne, expecting her first child with hubby Laurence Akers, said: “I am so thrilled — but we should be at an antenatal class!”

Oldham’s Phillip Schofield was also celebrating after “This Morning” won Best Live Magazine Show. “Strictly Come Dancing” reclaimed its crown as the leading talent show as it beat “The X Factor” in the Best Talent Show category, which every year sees the BBC favourite battle it out with its ITV rival.

There was disappointment for Oldham’s “Coronation Street” stars as “EastEnders” took the prize for Best Serial Drama.
