UP in flames . . . the caravan at Taurus St Hill Stores
A LARGE plume of thick black smoke could be seen across Oldham when a caravan went up in flames just yards away from houses yesterday.
Firefighters from Oldham and Chadderton tackled the blaze in Taurus Street, Hill Stores, shortly before 9am.
The caravan, which was parked on the street close to terrace houses, was destroyed.
The flames also damaged the door and window of a house and scorched two cars.
An investigation is under way.
