Stood as a candidate twice previously but this is his first time as an independent. He says that no longer bound by the ties of party persuasion means that he can truly serve and represent the people.
He says: On May 6, I can offer you an alternative to the norm that has blighted Hollinwood, and Oldham, for the last 30 years. One that has continually seen our heritage and traditions walked over and destroyed in the name of progress.
Does Mumps bridge and the station really need to vanish from the landscape of our town?
Is the old library another town hall waiting to happen? I want to see full use of these buildings in the future, safer road areas around our schools cheaper hospital parking for those needing long-term treatment, and an elected Mayor with full executive powers.
