He says: We pay one of the highest council tax rates in the country and receive some of the poorest public services in return. Our council tax should be coming down - not always going up.
Money raised here should be spent here, millions of pounds in council tax revenue and planning gain from big developments have flowed out of Saddleworth and disappeared down a large black hole in Oldham.
We should have a right to leave Oldham: it's been a 36-year forced marriage of inconvenience between a mainly rural Yorkshire parish and a declining Lancashire mill town.
