We put you first, not party bosses

Thursday’s election presents local people in Oldham East and Saddleworth with a difficult choice.

Labour’s lies caused this by-election in the first place, the Lib-Dems’ recent lies over tuition fees have been all over the news and the Conservatives’ broken promises on the European Union send out a clear message that none of them can be trusted.

On the campaign trail, the main issues that you are raising on the doorstep are the economy, immigration and crime.

Can any of these parties actually make a difference, though?

All of them support unlimited immigration from Europe — giving almost half a billion people the right to live here, no questions asked.

They all want us to throw £45 million a day down the drain to the EU while Oldham jobs are being lost, and all of them now support giving prisoners the right to vote.

They are all soft on crime and none of them have the courage to protect the community by ensuring that violent thugs are locked up and kept off the streets.

Perhaps you feel that you can’t trust any of them, and you might be one of thousands of voters who are tempted to stay at home on the January 13. But if you do nothing, the Lib-Lab-Con establishment will have won again.

They will say that poor turnout was caused by the bad weather and nothing will change.

Three weeks ago, I couldn’t possibly have imagined the amount of support that I have received from local people who feel betrayed by their traditional parties.

It’s time to send them a message by electing a UKIP MP to talk common sense in Westminster and put you first not party bosses.”

  • UKIP’s North West Euro-MP and a former university lecturer from Merseyside. The Liverpool-born 34-year-old is married with a six-month old baby. Represents Oldham East and Saddleworth in Europe.
