Identifying a Swarm of Honey Bees

During April to August honey bees swarm, their way of reproducing.

This also coincides with the expansion of wasp and bumble bee colonies and leads to bee keepers being called out to a large number of 'bee sightings' that are not related to honey bees.

Please find below a poster that helps you correctly identify wasps, hornets, bumble bees and honeys bees along with the appropriate advice on what to do next.

If you do have a  honey bee swarm contact ODBKA via this web site.
